Dear Ann and Ada:
Hope life has become a little easier for you on the 1st year anniversary of Dennis's death. I really loved that guy and I miss him daily. I can't say anymore good things about him than you already know or have already been said by others in this book. I wish we had more time together; but this is just a very brief existence and we will not know the answer to the questions of "why" until the next life. But I have felt his presence and I believe he is with us whenever we think about him. We will all be together again one day in the not too distant future where pain and time have no meaning . We love you and will always be here for you.

Please accept our deepest sympathies for your loss. Dennis started as our family dentist and became a family friend. He provided excellent care for our family (the kids adored him), always made us feel like we were the most important people in his office, and listened when we needed it.
We miss him.

So, so saddened to hear about Dr Anderson today. What a wonderful man he was-one in a million. We have been patients of his for the past 6 years & not only was he the best dentist we've ever had, he was such a lovely, compassionate guy with a great sense of humor too. He always treated us with the utmost respect, made us feel like the only patients in the world. Thanks to him our 3 young children actually loved to go to the dentist! I will never forget how he opened his surgery early to treat my mother who was visiting from the UK & then refusing to take any payment from her. It was obvious to all who met him how proud he was of his family. He will be sorely missed. Thoughts & prayers with you both at this dreadfully difficult time.

Ann & Ada,
We were so terribly sad to hear of Dennis's passing. We first met Dennis while we were stationed together in Pearl Harbor, and then again in Groton, CT. Dennis always gave us a positive outlook on life anytime you spoke to him and also gave us some good laughs while fishing or working together. I personally had great comfort in knowing I could call him and speak to him about anything, and will sorley miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Every time we visited Dennis at his surgery he made us feel like the most important patients in his practice a feeling we are sure he gave all his patients. He possessed great skills not only in his profession but in his heart and he will be truly missed. To Ann and Ada who we grew to know over the years our deepest sympathy, stay strong in the fact the Denis leaves a great legacy to the town and will always be remembered fondly by the many people he helped. Condolences to the entire Anderson family.

We are so very, very sorry to hear that the world has lost Dennis. He was such a caring, compassionate gentleman. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Dennis and his charm and gentle humor were always in evidence. I will always remember that he came straight from his Fathers funeral, to his office, to treat my sore tooth.
Ann and Ada, you were the lights of his life, and I know that you will treasure your memories of this truly special man.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both and with the rest of your family.

Ann and Ada,
May the heartache over the loss of you husband and father Dennis, be comforted by the thought that he made a big difference in the lives of many people. He influenced my life to become a fellow prosthodontist by encouraging me many years ago.

Dearest Ann & Ada,
Through my professional times at your office through the years, we have developed a deep meaningful friendship. My only regret is that we never had the time to truly enjoy good times in the Vineyard, sailing and eating. My prayers for your peace are with as is my love.

It is hard to believe that a family dentist could become a trusted family friend, but so it has. The competence of both Dennis and Ann can only be matched by their genuine concern for our family. Dennis, you were such an amazing dentist and such a warm and wonderful human being. Our children, who are now adults, value your friendship and ability even more as they get out in the world. We wish we could do something to ease Ann and Ada's pain, as well as your other family members. We wish we could have you back. Be at peace.

You were my father. You taught me right from wrong, the value of knowledge, and how to be a father to my little boy. You taught me how to enjoy long drives to nowhere, the relaxation of fishing and sailing, and how to putter around the house (fixing this, cleaning up that, and enjoying the accomplishment afterward). You taught me how to skin a rabbit, maintain a car engine, and to use the right tool for the right job (unless something else closer at hand would do just as well). Like all relationships we had our ups and downs, laughter and sorrow, agreements and disagreements, joined and apart; but through it all the love was understood. I thank you for all that you have given me, for being in my life, and most of all for being my dad.

Dennis was a good friend, someone I knew going back to when he and Ann lived in Illinois. He was someone you could talk to, the best of the best Dentist out there. I never met his sons but his wife, Ann and I went to school together in Boston. My heart goes out to the family as they go through this difficult time. When Dennis and Ann had Ada, he was in heaven as he is now.
