I guess the only thing I could say is I'm shocked and saddened. Mr. Powers' passing was surprising to me. He was just so energetic and happy I can't even understand. He was a great physics teacher. Always found a common ground with kids. Anyone who has ever had him for class or knows him knows that we all lost someone who was close to us. I want to send condolences to Mr. Powers' wife and kids. He would always talk about you. I wish you guys the best. And to you, Mr. Powers- engineer, teacher, and most of all good friend and mentor, rest in peace. You will always be remembered.

Tommy was my husband's best man at our wedding way back in 1976. After Ted died in 1989 we lost touch. I wish I had known him through the years. My children & I have some great memories of him way back then. Beacuse of him I can drive a standard shift car. My condolences to his wife and daughters. I am sure he will be truly missed.

Mr. Powers was one of my favorite teachers. He was so silly and sweet and a truely genuine individual. I’m so sorry to hear that he has passed away. I give my condolences to his dear family and beloved dog Cinnamon.

In the short time that I knew Mr. Powers he made a wonderful and lasting impression upon me. While he spoke mostly of his tremendous love for his family and his work, some of my favorite moments with Mr. Powers include screaming at the television together during red sox games, and having a laugh over the caf. food. However silly, he has left footprints on my heart, and touched my life forever. My prayers go out to Debbie, Tiffany, Jennifer, Kelly, and of course Cinnamon and Snowflake.
With sympathy,

I was in Mr. Powers' physics class for two years in a row. He was always there for his students, willing to help and support them in any way he could. Mr. Powers had an amazing sense of humor. During physics class, he would make jokes, while teaching the class. During my senior year, he wrote many recommendation letters for many of his students, including myself. He was always very kind and very supportivev if his students. He was an excellent teacher and an amazing person, a true role model. May he rest in peace.

Powers was such a great man, he will be truly missed. I still remember Powers and his buddy Sokolowski at the Lowell High School Girls Basketball games showing their support. The two of them were the best fans. I am so sorry and will miss Mr. Powers greatly. Many condolences.

Mr. Powers by far was one of the best teachers I have ever had. It was because of his teaching methods that i passed Physics in college. Even when I graduated i would go back to him over the professors for help on problems. He will be greatly missed by everyone who has ever met him.

Mr. Powers was my Chemistry teacher Sophomore year 99-00. He was such an amazing teacher. He was willing to bend over backward to help me do better not only in his class, but also in my other classes. He made class fun and he truly cared for his students. My condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Powers was my Physics teacher. He was one of my favorite teacher, if not, my favorite. He showed me that school can be fun and educational at the same time. He never once made me feel as if I am a student but more like one of his kids. He gave me the tools that are necessary for the real world. Though, we never kept in touch after I graduated I think of him from time to time. I wish I can be there for the funeral or the wake yet work is preventing me to do so. I send my condolences to his family and friends during this time of hardship. He will be deeply missed but he is at a place where nothing can harm him now.

I had Mr. Powers in 01-02. He really helped open my views to the world and encouraged me to wander "outside of the box". We've sent emails in the passing years, though they became much less frequent as the years passed on. He was one of my favorite teachers. He will be deeply missed. I send my condolences to his family and friends. I am sure he is in a better place now.
