On September 9, 2007, age 80. Lifelong Cambridge resident. Son of the late George and Hannah (O'Connell) Laycox. Beloved husband of Addie Mae (Prescott) Laycox for 58 years. Devoted father of Paul Laycox, Mark and Devon Laycox, Kim and James Pacheco, Joseph Jr. and Maria Laycox, Teri and Kevin Bryant, Jackie Vetrano, George and Teresa Laycox, Gary Laycox and Stephanie Fillios, Cindy and Paul DaCosta. Brother of Mary Ramsey. Also survived by 26 loving grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Funeral from the John C. Burns & Sons Funeral Home, 305 Broadway, CAMBRIDGE, Thursday, September 13, at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Cambridge at 10:00 AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours, Wednesday, 4-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in Joe's name to St. Mary's Memorial Fund, 134 Norfolk St., Cambridge, MA 02139. WW II Navy Veteran.
