I remember Kay as a warm and kind, strong and sophisticated person. We met around the time Martin fell ill, and we spent a day together.
Even in that brief time, which I remember well, (I was maybe 15 then.) she taught me some tips I use to this day as a nationally published photographer, and when I use them, I think of her.

"Auntie Kay" was my beloved grandfather's wife. It was always obvious to me how much she loved and cherished him. And although she was not my grandmother, growing up I never thought of her as anything but my grandmother who loved and cherished my brother, my parents and myself. I can still feel her sweet kisses on the back of my neck as a little girl, and her voice calling me "Joycie Honey". She always made me feel special. She was a special part of my life and has left me with many fond memories. God bless Kay, her family and special friends.
