To all the Ricci's...
We want to express our most sincere condolences. Bill was a great man and Mary was a great lady. Bill was one of our father's, Fred Buttinger, best friends. I still can remember the joking and laughs our fathers would have after golfing and knocking down grapefruits at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club. And well after our father's death, Bill's friendly disposition and treatment towards all our family was remarkable. I know that Bill always chuckled when my kids were just toddlers and they would call him, "Richie". Bill and Mary had a special friendship with our parents in Ft Lauderdale. Bill will be forever missed by all the Buttingers both in Canada and Salzburg, Austria.
I have enclosed a few pictures of Bill and Bill with our family from a visit we had with him on the Cape 2 years ago.
Thanks for the memories, Bill!
Sincerely, Gord & Pam Buttinger and our Children - Maddie, Natalie, Jessica, Scott, Danielle, Emily & Rachel.
As well as Vale Buttinger, Paul & Lorraine Buttinger, Horst & Gerda Buttinger and families.

Dear Steve & Bill,
I can't express how much your Dad meant to me, nor how hard it was for me to miss seeing him one last time. He was an inspiration to me and I owe him a great deal. His love for music inspired me, his love of life and his disposition stay with me.
I will always remember fondly the many times I watched he and my Dad sing and play the 'old songs'.
My prayers and my family's prayers are with you.

To all the family:
I worked with Bill for many years at Cambridge Tool and enjoyed his enthusiasm for life. One fond memory will be our mutual enjoyment of the sunsets viewed from my office window. I'm sorry I was not able to attend the funeral.

To all the Ricci's and Hutchinsons
You are in our thoughts and prayers. There will be a huge void in your lives, but I'm sure his spirit will live on in each one of you.
We had great admiration for Bill. He had that infectious smile and greeted everyone as if they were the most important person in the world! It was such a privilege to have known Bill.

We will all miss Bill. I had the good fortune to know him many years. He was always a gentleman, full of fun, and I loved playing golf with him. I am sure he would want all of us to remember him with a big smile on his face, perhaps playing the guitar, or out playing golf, or devising another landscaping design. I last saw him a few weeks ago and his handshake was as strong as ever. I am very sorry to miss the funeral service, but I am having surgery on Thursday and will still be in the hospital on Friday, but my thoughts will be with Bill and his wonderful family. They do not come any finer than William S. Ricci.

You both look fabulous - Aunt Eria (100) and Uncle Bill (89) at the Hutchinson Family Reunion 7/28/07

To the Ricci Family,
Mr. Ricci was a wonderful man and Neighbor to us down at Popponessett Beach. My father, Eddie Keelan, always admired and spoke highly of him. We will sorely miss him at the cape, and seeing him in his beautiful yard and at the dock on his boat. The Popponessett Community will not be the same without him as he held such passion for the area and noone knew the history of the community as well as he. Our prayers are with your family.

Bill, you and Mary filled our lives with an abundance of zest and enthusiasm for all things, great and small, whose contagion changed us all. You are in our hearts.
(P.S.-Your desire to leave a legacy of twenty-five guitar players was accomplished a long time ago.)

God bless you Bill...both you and your wife Mary were such an inspiration to me my whole life, and I have such wonderful childhood memories spending time on the Cape and enjoyed listening to Bill, my Dad and Big David playing their guitars. I truly feel honored to have known both Bill and Mary, and they truly were both a great example of two people who truly loved each other and had a great marriage. God knows you had a wonderful life and you were a wonderful man, and may you rest in peace with your lovely Mary!
Love, Eileen (Moore) Leone
