Cathy-
You never mentioned your own heartbreak. I actually just read your mother-in-law's obituary and saw your name. Your Facebook wall indicates all your wonderfull family and great friends. I know it's been awhile but i'm sure they gave you much comfort when your husband passed. Please accept our condolences.

Dad,
Not a day goes by that I do not think about you and how you were the best father anyone could ever have. I love you
October 10, 2007
Dear Cathy, Paul, Jeanine, John, Michael and Mrs. Camuso and Family,
It's hard to believe that one month has passed since Al's death. I continue to think of him, and all of you, each day and to pray that you are taking care of yourselves and finding the strength you need. As when a child is born, we count the days and then weeks and months. Soon a year passes, and then it becomes almost ten years, as is the case for us, with Michael's death in 1998. A sad milestone for you, today, but you should rest in the knowledge of how you all helped Al so much in his illness. All of us know that you will go on, as we have, and that Al will never leave your hearts and minds, and will continue to guide, bless and love you all, each day.

Cathy, John, Michael, Paul & Jeanine:
I am very sad that Al has passed away and that you have suffered such a loss.
I enjoyed Al's company and will really miss him and his sense of humour.
I have wonderful memories of many Friday nights at the Paddock or sometimes Saturday nights at the Winthrop Arms eating, drinking and laughing really hard with Cathy & Al and Joan & Dan.
Funny & generous, Al was also very kind and compassionate. I was always touched by the thoughtfulness of a Xmas present he once got for a little foster boy who was staying at my house.
I think of Al every time I pass italian pastry shops, knowing that he loved cannoli's.
Deepest sympathy,
-Helen

Dear, sweet Al - What fun we've had through the years. Many laughs, many dinners (with many drinks!), sharing our childrens' weddings, our many plans (for Cathy & Charlie!) everything that true friendship is. You will be missed so much. Much love to you, Cathy, and to Michael, John, Paul & Jeanine. We will make many more memories together and we know Al will be sharing them with us as he watches over us all.
With much love from Debbie, Charlie, and all the D'Antonio's.

al was not only a great person, but a great boss. i always knew if it was snowing he would pick me up and take me to work. i remember him from many years ago when he worked at the otis hospital and the nurses were on strike. my father was a patient and i was worried about his care and getting his medications. al assured me he would be taken care of. his strength was an inspiration. he will be missed.love dot

al will be missed by all of us, but more so by the 5 of you who have been there by his side day in and day out in the past few months.my first memory of meeting al was when we worked at the central hospital and he was driving his lime green cougar. he and i were still talking about it a few weeks ago. i also remember when he bought cathy " maternity boots" when she was pregant with paul. i also have newer memories over the past few months visiting him at home. he never complained and was always saying " you have to stay for supper". we had greats talks about the old days, the red sox and how proud he was of all of you. may your memories of al help you in these difficult times. remember his belief and strength. love carol

Cathy, Paul, John and Michael,
There are no words that can really ease the pain you are all feeling at this sad time I only hope knowing that so many cared and loved Al helps. I’ll always remember the nights we came over to do the billing and Al would cook us supper can’t believe that was 6 years ago. The trips on the bus to AC and New York were great it was good that he could go and enjoy so many of Cathy’s friends and family that came along on the trip. Al has been so good to my mother and she really enjoys working at the Drug Store. I was lucky to have known Al and will miss him very much. Love to all of you Nancy

As a visiting nurse I always found Al to be one of my best resources in assisting patients with medication issues. He went "above and beyond" to guide patients with advice and to offer individual attention. He was my personal pharmacist also, and so I will miss him enormously on many levels. He was very proud of his family and the accomplishments of each. What a wonderful legacy he has left to all of us. My deepest sympathy and prayers are with you.

Dear Cathy, Paul, Jeanine, John, Michael, Mrs. Camuso and Family ~ The courage, strength, compassion and great love that your family has shown during the long months of Al's illness eased, I am certain, his transition from this life. How well loved he was, and how much he shared his generous heart with others! When my Jacqueline begin her part time job, while in high school, eight years ago at Winchester Drug, little did she know that she would be welcomed into an incredibly loving circle of friends. Al loved and cared about Jackie, and never failed to shower her with attention or share fatherly advice with her. He did not just offer her a job; he ultimately provided a career for her, by teaching her the role of Pharmacy Technician, and encouraging her to pass the exam. I know Al as unassuming, quietly kind, loyal, faithful, and very funny. I also know that the future time will help to ease the pain of the memory of Al's illness and death for your family, and that eventually your hearts will overflow with the countless memories of your family together, that all of you share. I firmly believe that we do not miss our beloved deceased because we have lost them; rather, we miss them because we were blessed to have had them in our lives. My Michael, I'm sure, will be greeting Al and thanking him for all he has done for his little girl, Jackie, and her family. Please accept our most sincere sympathy. May God shower His choicest blessings down upon all of you at this very sad time. Love ~ Georgia, Lynne, Amy, Jacqueline and Tim Patterson
