I was the 1sr person he baptized in Rockland, Ma. Ruth and my Mom were pregnant at same time and Mom was going to name a girl Deborah and they teased each other over the name. Our Deborah turned out to be Douglas/ drowned as the tank was small, I was tall, And that did not leave much room for a man of his size. We all loved this family very much.

Walter was a wonderful pastor to our family when our father was seriously ill. Our father, Rev. Donald Williams, was his co-pastor at The United Parish. We delighted in his stories of almost sliding into a grave on a snowing day, and making a checkerboard cake!
