Benjamin Fishman Obituary

97, a resident of Lynn for over 60 years. The beloved husband of the late Ruth Whiting. Brother of the late Reuben and Eli Fishman, he leaves behind his brother Michael Fishman of Medford and sister Edna Grob of Swampscott. He was the devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews. He selflessly gave his time and energy to neighbors and friends in need and was the catalyst that brought them and family together for decades. Ben graduated from Dorchester High School in 1928 and served in the Air Force during World War II. He was a master electrician until his retirement at 85. Throughout his long life, Ben generously supported many human rights organizations and public broadcasting. Donations in his name can be made to the charity of your choice. His internment will be private. Arrangements by the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, SALEM.

Mr. Fishman,
Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
