Joseph Welch Obituary

Of Tewksbury, formerly Somerville, died Sept. 12 at age 92, a WWII Army Air Force Veteran. Beloved husband for 45 years of Irma A. (Salvi) Welch. Loving father of Michael J. and his wife Judith (Hoffman) Welch of Natick, John R. Welch and Joseph P. Welch, both of Tewksbury; devoted grandfather of Derek and Andrew Welch, both of Natick; brother of Helen Noviello of Arlington, the late Francis Welch, William Welch, Edmund Welch, Frederick Welch, and Agnes Weyland; brother-in-law of Mary Welch of No. Conway, NH, Angelina Santoro and G. Robert Salvi, both of Tewksbury, Irene and William Jones of Saugus; also survived by many nieces and nephews. His Funeral will be held Monday, September 17, at 9:00 a.m. from the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of Dewey and Main Sts. (Rte 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, phone (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. William's Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) TEWKSBURY. Burial will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 4 to 7 in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Merrimack Valley VNA Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843, will be appreciated. tewksburyfuneralhome.com
