You folks do'nt know me, but when I was a young kid about 9 years old back in the late 1950's I worked for Saul and his brother in law Henry in the resturaunt they owned in Chelsea called Tom's Coffee Shop. I stayed with them for many years until I grew up and joined the Army in 1969.
During my years at the coffee shop, I ran erands and helped Saul behind the counter. He taught me how to cook which proved to be very beneficial as I grew up The fact that I was this little African American kid made no difference to Saul who treated me like his own son. I learned an awful lot from him. Both Saul and Henry were instumental in shaping me into the person I have become today. While working for them six days a week and learning about responsibility is something I carry with me to this day. As a result, I never got into trouble like other kids of my age at the time.
Even though it is a late time since Saul passed on, I just wanted people in his family to know what a fine person he was.
Sincerely
Dave Hill

To my Papa,
I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me for not being at your funeral.
You have given me some of the best childhood memories a boy could ever ask for. You taught me how to be a man of strength, kindness, and most of all honor. It is my honor to have had you as such an important part of my life. I will miss you and remember you always.
Love, Carlo

To "Papa", as I sign for my extended family here in Florida; my thoughts become selfish as I think back to my wonderful childhood. My "Papa" & Nana were everything to me. I have such found and loving memories of him. He was a kind and gentle man. I remember looking forward to visits to my Grandparents home. Especially if we were going to stay for the weekend. I still have several childhood visions of activities & moments with my "Papa".
As we grow up, families fragment and move away. Somewhere at about the age of 8 yers old, we moved on to Virginia. But I always looked forward to the time when we go up to Mass. to visit our Grandparents for an extended stay. Eventually, at the age of about 16 we moved on again to Florida and I rarely saw him (my grandparents) again. But his memory and those wonderful visions live on.
One day, I hope to be to my grandchildren, a Grandfather like my "Papa" was to me; he is my inspiration, my goal.
He maybe gone from this place, this earth; but he will never be gone from the thoughts, prayers and hearts of those who loved him.
Thank you for everything "Papa", I love you.

A kind gentle man who always had a smile and a laugh. A sharp dresser.
Many many happy memories of family gatherings at Uncle Larry and Aunt Mary's. Food, games, dancing, more food and lots of laughter. I feel lucky to have had him as a relative,I will miss him.

Mr. Levy,
Sir, I didn't know you, but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and also for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
