Dear Bill Family and Friends...
Here is God's perfect person always giving, unselfish, non material, living the eternal now, full of warmth and grace and love for family. All of us had a dinner club monthly and occasional golf outings. Some of us worked with Bill. What a special friend!!!

Bill
I have always thought you a man who embodied creativity, laughter, and care for others. I was asways impressed with the desire you showed to improve in all those things. I am greateful for the brief time we had. I will try to live in a way that honors your memory.
I will miss you

Dear Elizabeth, Elaine, Edward and Families, My love and prayers go out to you. You have been such a power of example of what love and family is all about. You all have been such a remarkable family. I remember your parents Dorothy and Ed what wonderful people they were and the grief you went through with their passing when you all were so young but yet pulled together and stayed together and helped each other beyond words. And now you go through it again with the passing of your most precious brother Billy. It was a shock to hear of his passing so close to the reunion on Saturday and I am so glad you are still having it as Billy would have wanted it. Love and Prayers and you are in my thoughts, Cathy Kennelly (mother of Dennis, Jim, and John Kennelly)

Dear Bill, with us Still-- and Always Will.

I have to say that people of such extraordinary kindness and generosity do not leave us- they are too dependable and mean too much. Our lives are ever the richer. God Bless You, Bill and Thank You.

You didn't have to know Bill well to know he was one of the most kind passionate and generous people in the world. Losing him has left a hole in the improv community's heart. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who were lucky enough to know him.

With thoughts and deep sentiment for his family and friends,

I met Bill at YAP about five years ago. He ran it the whole time, I don't know really for how long. I dropped in from time to time. He was a very generous man to invite all comers to play for so, so many Sunday afternoons. But he arranged for space, arranged for directors, and let everyone know, and he was there, unless there was a weekend holiday, or an event with his beloved family. He was very dedicated. His efforts touched many, many people. He will be missed.

It was great knowing Bill. We were always welcomed by him as if we were part of his family; the "dance family". It was very obvious to us that his love for his family was immense. We will miss him dearly, and he will forever be in our thoughts and prayers. Dennis, Laura and Kristen Keefe & family; with love, "the other Keefes".

Bill with the That Takes Ovaries cast 2005

Bill was an extra-ordinary person. He was full of energy and life and playfulness. He was smart and caring. He was talented. He was cute, with an infectious grin. And he was the only man in the whole That Takes Ovaries cast when we did the play in 2005. Now *that* takes ovaries, which he surely had. As you all know, he was so versatile, playing many roles, from serious to funny, including the cameraman for Ruchira, the investigative journalist who was uncovering the horrors of sex slavery in Asia; and in another, he played a gorilla picking fleas off of his gorilla underling, and stunning a wildlife biologist. The list goes on, and that is just from one play!

He had a level of commitment that was rare. And it stemmed out of his caring of others. On many, many ocassions he was there helping me or helping my dad, including with non-theater tasks, like helping my dad move after being in one house for 30 years.

Bill was a doll, and I told him that regularly, as many of us did, I'm sure.

Bill, thank you for being in my life, for having such a loving presence in my life, and for impacting so many others' lives.

Warmly,
Rivka Solomon

Bill was my theatre group (ARRT)'s Improv teacher and also my good friend. The most memorable thing he's ever said to me was...well, I can't say it here. He's always made me laugh! :D

Bill will be sorely missed in the theater community. I have known Bill for 4-5 years and have worked with him on several productions. He was steady, reliable, an excellent person and a good friend. He believed in "Passion for the theater", advocated it and lived it. His incredible voice, his humor and warmth will always be with me when I think of him.

Elaine and Liz and family,
So sorry for your loss...our loss, Bill was a bright light in our Alumni meetings. We had so much fun with him selling tshirts in front of Roche Bros and the Police station... he had a great gift of humour and a wonderful personality, a very giving guy.Too many happy memories, will never forget his skit at the comedy stop. I will miss him dearly.

My thoughts and condolences go out to Bill's family and friends at this time of your sad loss.

Through our mutual appreciation of the music of Steely Dan, I was fortunate enough to have met Bill on three occassions over the last few years. On each occassion the warmth, honesty, generosity and good humour of the man I felt privileged to call a friend shone through and my life is all the richer for being able to say that I knew Bill Griffin.

Rest In Peace my friend.
