Aunt Jean - The holidays are upon us once again. Memories of past holidays bring thoughts of you, Uncle Ed, Eddie, Dad, Uncle Richie, Nana, & so many more to mind. Holidays are bittersweet. Wally is home safe & sound on US soil this holiday season. My gratitude is unwavering. I was so happy to have had the opportunity to live at the Cape with young Wally & give him the chance to get to know you better & spend time with you before he entered the military. These are times we both cherish. I know you would be happy to know Wally & his wife Sarah spent some of his military leave at the Cape this summer. They stayed in the village & had a wonderful time. They got to spend good times with cousins & enjoy the sun & the ocean before he had to return to Iraq. Mom also had a Christmas in July for Wally at home in Dracut. These family times helped to see him through his final tour in Iraq. Thank god this is all behind us now. I thank god for my family & for my country. Thanks have been given for the many blessings I have received. As I approach this Thanksgiving I think of you lovingly & miss all of you more than words could ever express. If you have a chance give mom a call in a way only you can. May you live on in our hearts forever. God Bless you. God Bless Our troops. God Bless our Veterans. God Bless us all. Always your god-daughter Dianne Marie

Aunt Jean - I had a very difficult September... I wanted to go to the Cape on your 1 year anniversary but a terrible storm blew through this area named after one of your own, Hurricane Kyle. Mom misses you & Uncle Bob with all her heart. If the truth be known, a part of her went with you both. Wally will be coming home from Iraq in November and I know you are one of heaven's angels watching over him. Pray for all of us down here... we struggle & need all the blessings you can bestow on the family you left behind. With love & many cherished memories of you as i sign off reluctantly. you are always only a thought away. Always & forever your god-daughter, Dianne

Well we can't believe it has been a year ago since you left us. There is not a day that goes by that we don't think about you. I have been to Lincoln with Dolly and Joannie but you are still not bringing me any luck. Taking Alissa to Foxwoods in a few weeks since she never had the chance to get there with you. Maybe you will be there bringing us luck. Hope you are working on that Casino in the sky. I am sure Uncle Bob has caught up with you there. We miss him too. We are all going out to dinner tonight to be together as a family and remember all the good time. We are living off all the wonderful memories. Love and miss you.

Aunt Jean,
Well I just got back from Vegas and I lost again. I miss you and wished you could of been with me. At least if you were with me you could of been pulling my ear and taking me away from the tables. A year is almost passed but your picture is on my night stand and I look at it every day when I keep turning off my alarm clock so I can sleep in. I love you and miss you bunches!
Love,

Jean, I can't believe it has been almost a year since you went on your final journey. There are so many good memories that come to mind and smile about. I miss you very much but know in my heart that you are in no pain, no more suffering, and for that I am thankful. Your kids are wonderful and we keep in touch. Dolly and I took up where you and I left off with the emails and some phone calls. You were so loved by so many people. May you rest in peace and keep watching over all of us.

Missing you and Bob so much, it is almost a year that we lost you, and four months for Bob. I am so glad that you and I took the time to visit with Bob at Murials. He missed you and Murial, I feel so blessed that I got to be with him to share our losses. He never lost his sense of humor, right up to his last words. He kept the staff, nurses and me in stitches. They thought he was the greatest, and so did I. Hope you are all to-gether now, and my prayers and love are with you. I am still working, and go to the cacino with Joan, and Cheryl, but it still is not the same. Love as always to a special sister. Dolly

When I first met Jean the first memory that came to mind was how much she reminded me of my own grandmother. She was so SWEET! So caring, so generous she made me feel right at home and I had just met her. That's when I realized how special she was..she never knew a stranger, she only knew how to be a friend. It was my first time ever to the Cape and the entire Stafford family was just everything and more Stephen told me you were about.Thank you for your warm welcome.May you find comfort knowing that she is with her husband and son. With Lots of Love and Warm Hugs from Texas, Rose Greco

Dear Aunt Jeanie, Cheryl and "the boys"; I will always remember summers at Swift's beach digging for clams and quahogs, bringing them back to "Uncle Ed" to cook up. Staying summers in "the Village" and my younger brothers & Lisa, the Stafford boys and Cheryl all summer tow headed kids loving every moment of playing at the beach and being together. I will always remember the love and happiness that Uncle Ed and Aunt Jeanie had for all of us.
Aunt Jeanie, you were so loving to my Muma, Terri Guinazzo. And kept us all close after losing Ken Guinazzo from our family. Your Mom left our world a better place giving us memories of those days. Love to you All. Deb Marion-Katz Altamont, New York

Jeannie you were my mom's cousin and I know she loved you dearly. You were always there for her and my dad and I appreciate that so much. You never missed a family function and that just showed how much family meant to you. I am so grateful that I had the chance to know you as my family and I was proud to call you family. I remember after the hurricane you using my parents camper. It was like nothing to you to make the best out of any situation. You are in all of our thoughts and will be greatly missed. We love you.

Dear family..
I think Dolly will be the only one to remember us. We are Guinazzo cousins. Our dad Ed and Jean's dad Joe were brothers. Unfortunately we all lost touch through the years but we remember a lot of good times at Nana Guinazzo's house in Southie and having good times with Uncle Joe. He had a way with kids and like Jean always had a smile on his face. We are only sorry that there have to be sad endings as we have all lost loved ones through the years. There are always memories we can treasure and we do so fondly. Be proud of being a Guinazzo descendant as well as a Stafford, they all worked hard to make life a little easier. Peace, love, prayers. Dear Jeannie and family,
Whether old or young, sick or sudden, it is never easy to loose someone we love. Although we had only met your mom once- she had the most wonderful sparkle in her eye that just made you want to smile.
Her memory will be carried in the hearts of all who she touched.

I'm so sorry for your loss. She is in heaven with your dad now, and will no longer be lonely without him. I will remember both of them when they were healthy, when we stayed in the little house for our vacation. They were wonderful to us and treated us like family. Cheryl, Jeannie, Ron, Mark and family - I can't put into words the deep loss we all feel at this moment - you all were always my second family.... but 2nd to none. Aunt Jean was truly a great woman and touched more lives in such a great way. when I think of my child hood and growing up the Cape and Somerville are some of my fondest memories - each of you are always in my heart and my thoughts. I will miss her velvet hammer approach - giving us a good whack when we needed it but always in a tender way that we always knew she loved us all. I am really at a loss at what to say, we all knew her health was going, but this happened so quickly. Labor Day cookout this year was great, reminded me of years back - alot of people, laughs, family and friends !! She always enjoyed having company and people visiting !
Always,
Guy, Ryan & Blake

My fondest memory of big Jean is when I stayed at her home in Wareham with little Jean. I had just gotten married and she was surprised that I did not bring my new husband down to spend the night. As always, little Jean and I stayed out late and as we tiptoed in the house (because you know big Jean is lying on the couch with one eye open), she lifted her head, called us "dirty little stay-outs", and put her head back down on her pillow. What a Riot! We giggled ourselves to sleep that night, only to wake up the next day to bacon & eggs waiting for us. Big Jean was an exceptional woman, who raised some very caring and loving children. I am proud to have been a part of the Stafford family for many, many years. She will be missed but never forgotten. My thoughts are with you. Love Ya!
