Constance Looney Obituary

Of Dedham and Popponesset, formerly of Newton Centre, September 29, 2007. Beloved wife of Atty. William F. Looney Jr. Devoted mother of Atty. William F. Looney III and his wife Eileen of Mansfield, Atty. Thomas M. Looney and his wife Nancy of Westwood, Karen D. Brady and her husband Brian of Kwajalein, Marshall Islands and Martha A. MacNabb and her husband Thomas of Mansfield. Also survived by 12 grandchildren. Daughter of the late Edmund and Dorothea (Ready) O'Callaghan. Sister of Dorothy Corcoran of Hanover, NH, Captain Edmund O'Callaghan, Retired U.S. Navy, of Corpus Christi, TX, Thomas O'Callaghan of Jamestown, RI and the late Atty. Donal O'Callaghan and Paul O'Callaghan. Cousin of Helen Murphy of Oakland, ME. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Thursday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Dedham, at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Connie's memory to the VNA Care Network & Hospice Development Office, 5 Federal St., Danvers, MA 01923 or Good Beginnings of the Upper Valley, 66 Bennington St., Suite 6, West Lebanon, NH 03784. Connie was a graduate of Newton High School and later she attended the Pierce Secretarial School and worked as a secretary at Sylvania. Connie was very active in her kids childhood activities and served as Co-President of the Greenlodge School PTA, 1971-72 and was a Cub Scout Den Mother and a Bluebirds Troop Leader. Connie was later involved in many events at St. Sebastian's School and Ursline Academy where her children attended high school. Connie played in several golf leagues over the years, including the Cape Cod Women's Golf Association for which she served a term as President. She was a member of the New Seabury, Sandwich Hollows, the Falcon Course at Otis Military Base and the Norfolk Country Club, Westwood. She traveled extensively after her children grew up and her destinations included Europe, Egypt, Hawaii and the Marshall Islands. Online guestbook and directions at www.gfdoherty.com. George F. My golf season at New Seabury just ended last week. Every time I went out to play I always think of my friend Connie, she was my vice president the year I was president .
