Donald Regal Obituary

Of Wellesley passed away of natural causes on September 28. He was born in 1918, to Hattie P. and John S. Regal. A graduate of Milton High School in 1936, and Harvard College in 1940, he joined his father in the management of John S. Regal & Son, an electrical and hardware wholesaling business. Following the end of World War II, he entered the world of finance and worked at Fahnestock & Company, Inc. for many years until retirement. A Bridge Life Master at an early age, and an avid golfer, he was a long-time member of Woodland Golf Club. He was preceded in death by his former wife and longtime companion, Virginia (Davidson) Regal. Survivors are his brother, Herbert F. Regal of Duxbury, formerly of Newton; nieces, Sally of Washington, DC and Ellen of Portland, OR, nephew, David of Burbank, CA; and stepsons, Peter Davidson of Downingtown, PA., Paul of Marion, MA, and Mark of Sandwich, MA. A wise and very thoughtful man, he tended to those he loved as he tended to his garden, with patience and care. We will all miss him dearly. Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon, Sunday, October 7th at J.S. Waterman & Sons & Waring Funeral Home, 592 Washington St., (Rt 16), WELLESLEY.
