Gail,
I am very sorry for your loss. Shirley was such a great ficture in our lives growing up. It was wonderful for all of us to have had the opportunity to grow up in a neighborhood where people enjoyed each other. I can still see her standing at the back door yelling to Pat to go do something.
With sympathy, Pat Reilly

Gail,
Diane and I are very sorry for your loss. When we visited with you and Shirley a few weeks ago on our trip to Boston she was in great spirits despite her failing health and that is how we will remember her. Pat and Shirley were always great to the O'Toole family, whether they were overpaying us kids for shoveling snow or cutting the grass to sharing the cottage in Falmouth with Dot and Terry. We will all miss her and the old neighborhood will not be the same without her.
Love,
Mike and Diane

Gail, I am so sorry to hear about Shirley's death tho I imagine it's somewhat of a relief for you to know that she's finally at peace --not struggling in anything she had to do as she became weaker. I'm sure she had had no quality of life recent years which must have been difficult for you to watch. You were so good to her to do all you did so that she could stay at home. You gave her the only thing she really wanted at that stage in her life. I'll always remember her generosity when the kids were little and we would see her. often. To look at it from another vantage point, Pat, look out, Shirley's coming to rule the roost. No more peace in heaven. Between Shirley and Mary Kelley both Pat and my father are in for it! Please call if I can do anything. I'll see you on Thursday.
Love,
Rita
