Arthur E. Saunders Sr.

Of Brockton and Jamaica Plain, MA, October 1st, 2007, 83, Musician. The son of the late Curtis Saunders Sr. and Mable Broadas of Woburn, MA. Loving father of 6 children; daughters, Dineen, Cheryl, Kathleen and Sandra, and, sons; Athur Jr., (deceased), and Charles (Chucky) Saunders. Mr. Saunders (Artie) had a first wife and mother of his children, Helen J. Saunders (deceased). An accomplished musician, The Art Saunders Organ Combo, was the jazz and rhythm & blues band that Mr. Saunders lead during the late 1970's and 1980's, his lifelong passion. Mr. Saunders served in WWII, in the U.S Army, in Normandy, Germany, and Central Europe, awarded a number of service medals including Victory and Good Conduct. A viewing for Mr. Saunders will be held on Friday, October 5th, 2007 from 5-7 PM at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower Street (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) JAMAICA PLAIN. Funeral Services will be held the following day, Saturday October 6th, 2007 at The Messiah Baptist Church, 80 Legion Pkwy, Brockton, MA 02301, beginning at 8:30 AM-10:30 AM (a Repast will follow the services).
