Anna Penzo Obituary

Of Braintree, formerly of Quincy on October 8, 2007. Lovingly known as the "Grouch" by her husband of 56 years, Louis J. Penzo. Cherished mother of Rosemarie Penzo-Huling and her late husband Paul of Braintree, Lisa Penzo-Johnson and her husband David of Halifax and Louann Penzo of Halifax. Dear sister of Madeline Falcetta of Weymouth and the late Francesco & Peter Bollino and Antoinette Milano. Devoted grandmother of Michael & Christopher Huling, Nicole & Brianna Johnson and Joshua & Aidan O'Neill. Anna is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral from The Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree, at 9 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Burial in Braintree Cemetery, Braintree. Anna worked as a dressmaker for Marynan Dress Company for more than 25 years. She retired from full time work to raise her family and then worked part time from her home. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. Her passion was cooking and she excelled in the kitchen. Anna enjoyed spending summer days at the patio in Nahant with her family Jo, Charlie, Nunce, and Maryann. Her family remembers the passion she had for her Christmas Eve traditional Italian seafood festival at their open house and all the favorite dishes she prepared and served to everyone. But, her true devotion was her beloved grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anna may be made to Children's Melanoma Prevention Foundation, POBOX 254, Hingham MA 02043. Call 1-800-Keohane or see www.Keohane.com for directions & online condolences.

It's been a very very long time since I have seen Anna (Mrs. Penzo). I was over her house playing with LouAnn almost every day when I was young - those were wonderful times and she was a wonderful person. My sympathy to all of you. Tina Notarangelo
