To the family of Gertrude;

Please accept my condolences on the death of Gertrude.

As a child, my grandmother (" Kitty" Dillon) used to take me over to visit Gertrude, as Kitty was friends with Gertrude's mother, who was the sister-in-law of my Aunt Mary Crowley (Kitty's sister). I remember Gertrude fondly, as I do her mother. They were so very kind to me, offering me ginger ale and ice cream during these visits! I will always remember how soft Gertrude's hands were as she welcomed us.

Again, I am sorry for your loss, but it has been lovely to remember these childhood moments!
