Alphonse Visco Obituary

Of East Boston, died October 18th at age 90. Beloved son of the late Filomeno and Assunta (D'Amico) Visco. Loving brother of Florence Serifini and her husband Angelo of Nashville, TN, Anthony Visco and his late wife Nancy of Medford and Ann Belmonte and her late husband Aldo of Winthrop. Cherished uncle and second father to his nieces and nephews: Richard Serifini of Monson, Rhonda Serifini, Dan Serifini, both of Nashville,TN, Anthony Visco Jr., Linda (Visco) Giangregorio, both of Saugus, Steven Belmonte, Anita Belmonte, Dianne (Belmonte) Hofer and her husband Eric, all of Winthrop. Dear great uncle to five great nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Kirby-Rapino Memorial Home, 917 Bennington St.- (Orient Heights) EAST BOSTON on Monday at 9:00 am with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. Joseph-St. Lazarus Church, 59 Ashley St., East Boston at 10:00 am. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 5-9pm. Services will conclude with entombment in Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Foundation: APDA MA Chapter, 715 Albany St., Suite C329, Boston, MA 02118. Retired sign painter. Late US Marine Veteran of WWII. The Dept. of Ma. Marine Corp League thanks you for your service to God, our Country, and to our beloved Corp.
To Al's family we send our sympathies and our prayers on your loss and the loss of our Brother.
Al was one of "The Greatest Generation Heroes" and we know that our Supreme Commandant is waiting with open arms to greet him. While his earthly presence is not here his spirit will live with you forever. May God bless you and be at your side as you struggle to go forward without Al. Semper Fidelis

Mr. Visco,
Sir, I didn't know you but as a fellow Marine, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines during WW II that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
