Mrs. Clifford, Bill, Bob, Jaime, John, & Family,
My deepest sympathies during this difficult time. My sister Lynne informed me of Guy's untimely death. When he saw her around town, she said he would often ask how I was doing. I will always remember his lectures in class with his monotone voice and dry sense of humor as a political science student of his at B.S.C.

Mrs. Clifford, Bill, Bob, J.D., John, and family:
I would like to express my sincere sympathy in the loss of Mr.Guy C. Clifford. As your neighbor for many years on Pleasant St., I have many fond memories shared with all of you. Mrs. Clifford, you have lost your best friend. Bill, Bob, J.D., and John, you have lost the ROCK of your family, your Dad. Remember all the good times, the laughs especially, and always know that Guy C. will be looking down on all of you with great pride and joy.
Sincerely,

Dear Mrs. Clifford, Jamie, John, Billy and Bobby,
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I always remember Mr. Clifford being a real sophisticated and classy guy. My parents, like many folks in Bridgewater, were very fond of him. I know he'll be missed so much but hold on to those wonderful memories and photographs. He lives on in you boys, I saw so much of him in all of you. It always made me smile.

Dear Gale and Boys:
I was so sorry to hear about Guy. He was truly a gentleman and a scholar as well as a good husband and father.
I knew Guy the politician and I always admired his civility, his live and let live approach to life, his great sense of humor and his curiosity about what made people tick. He was the rare breed of political science professor who dared to venture into the world he taught about. He understand "that all politics is local".
If Guy became too serious or introspective, he had you, Gale, to interject humor and often candor into his life. You complimented each other so well.
Bill, Bob, Jamie and John, your father was immensely proud of each of you and your accomplishments. Whenever asked, he would eagerly talk about each of you with a lot of pride.
He will be missed particularly by all of you, his family, and he will also be missed by those of us who considered ourselves his friends.
Fondly,
Carolyn Morwick

Dear Gale:
Helga and I send our support to you and your family for the loss of that wonderful, cheerful, kind hearted mate of yours and long time friend of mine, Guy. He had an appropriate name, he was a special person. We miss his presence even now knowing that we will not see him again as we have from time to time through the decades.

Mrs Clifford, Bill, Bob, Jaime, John, & Family - Please accept my thoughts and condolences. So many wonderful thoughts come to mind when thinking of Mr. Clifford. Referee, teacher, diplomat, moderator, coach, advisor, sage, father, and friend. Some of my fondest memories were spent in Guy's presence, and were made possible by his hospitable, honest, and friendly persona. I am grateful for having known him, and for all he did for me.
