Paul Carlson Obituary

Of Florida City, FL, formerly of Cohasset, MA died on October 30 in Sarasota after a brief illness. Husband of the late Jane (deBrigard) Carlson. Loving father of Julia H. Kelley and her husband William of Scituate, Peter G. Carlson and his wife Carolyn Link of Northfield, MN, and Janet C. Maurillo and her husband Christopher of Penang, Malaysia. Grandfather of Jennifer and Sarah Kelley, Katherine, Jane and Gustaf Carlson, Alexandra and William Maurillo. Brother of Harry F. Carlson of Venice, FL and Janet F. Carlson of Atlanta, GA. Brother-in-law of Louis deBrigard, Jr. of Reading, MA, Anne H. deBrigard of Southampton, NY, Susan B. Curry of Palo Alto, CA, and Richard Valantsis of Atlanta, GA. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Carlson grew up in Reading, MA and lived in Cohasset for 25 years before moving to Florida. He was a past Commodore of the Cohasset Sailing Club, active in the Silver Blades Ice Dancing club at Cohasset Winter Gardens, and a member of the Aleppo Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. in Boston. Mr. Carlson loved to sail and loved computers. He worked for many years at Samson Ocean Systems and enjoyed the traveling that went with his job. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 2:00 pm at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 16 Highland Avenue, Cohasset, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, NY, NY 10006 or www.lungusa.org
