Dear Remo and Family:

Frank and I are deeply saddened to hear of Betsy’s passing.

My parents truly valued Betsy's friendship and the good person that she was. My father loved the baked “goodies” she would occasionally bring over to their house. He often commented on what a good baker she was. I was lucky to have gone over to my parents’ house one time soon after she had dropped off some whoopie pies. They were absolutely delicious. I asked my mother to get the recipe from Betsy and I had a recipe card for them within a week.

We will never forgot and are grateful for all the times Betsy took my mother to the Cancer Support Group meetings at Lahey Clinic. This meant a lot to my mother and it was very helpful to me and my siblings, as we all worked during these daytime meetings. Also very much appreciated were the times both Remo and Betsy helped us by taking my mother for some of her cancer treatments.

My mother often spoke very fondly of Betsy and, on many occasions, mentioned to me how lucky she was to have her for a friend.

We will always remember Betsy as a warm and caring person. Our heartfelt sympathy and thoughts are with all of you.

To the Vinci family,
I was so sad to hear of the loss of Betsy. She and Remo were great friends to my mom and dad. They enjoyed going for rides and dinner. I will never forget how kind she was to my mom when she was sick. She always remembered my daughter, Holly's, birthday every year with a card as they shared the same birthday.

I hope that you will find comfort and peace as you share in the many wonderful memories of Betsy.
