To the Basile Family--Your Mother was such a dear friend of our Mom, Christine Bedard. (We remember the fun and laughter of their Bridge Club meetings!) Please accept our deepest sympathy. Mrs. Basile was a true lady.

I only knew Marie from a handful of visits to her home with Stephen, one of my closests friends. I recall having lots of laughs with the two of them and was moved by the closeness of their relationship. My heart goes out to my friend and the rest of the Basile family.

Auntie Marie was a beautiful, warm and loving person. At every family event, she took time to check in with each of us and find out how our lives were going. She was a splendid mother and wife. I will miss her but be comforted by her memory and the great times together.

Much sympathy to her children, Joan, Chris, Francis, Stephen, Richard and Paul.

You were a divine mother in law - kind, supportive, warm and lovely. I owe you so much - you raised the wonderful man I married and gave us so much in your love for us and the girls. Your presence in our lives cannot be diminished. And, boy, will I miss those congo bars.

My deepest sympathy to the whole Basile family. Your mother will be missed by many. She has a wonderful soul and spirit, and I am certain that there are many lives she touched (as do all of you)! Thank you for letting us be apart of your lives for the last 30 years. I visited your mom many times over the years, not only to keep in touch and see how all of you are doing, but because I could always count on her lifting my spirits, no matter what the circumstance. I will be thinking about you all... and wish I was back home.

Your absence will be felt at every family gathering. Luckily your humor and grace lives on in your children and grandchildren. We will always have you - in them.

Thank you.
