Aunt Luella and my cousins always came home in the summer. The best times were at the cottage at Stavert's Shore in Bedeque. I'd play with Jeannie and Phillip,it was a fun time. When she was older, I remember asking her "To what do you attribute your long life?" and in her little voice, half-laughing she said, "Well, I never laid out in the sun the way young people do nowadays" !! She was a lovely lady. I just remember a good feeling being around her.She was a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

I remember Aunt Luella as a kind and gentle person who always "came home" to P.E.I. in the summer. It was a yearly jaunt and I believe it continued on well into her later years. P.E.I. was always "home".
Remembering you fondly Aunt Luella---you will be missed.

I will always remember my Aunt Luella's visits to Prince Edward Island when I was young. She was always kind and radiated a peace, which I later learned was the peace of God in her life. Aunt Luella lived a life of quiet trust. In recent years she recently appreciated the 3 way calls I would set up with my mother (Mrs. Keith Waite, her brother's wife), on her birthday. And now she has gone before us, released from her aged body (I always wondered what her secret to her old age was )and we await a grand reunion someday. Good bye Aunt Luella.

It is with respect that I pause to remember my "Aunt Luella". She was a lovely "little" lady. Always taking things in her stride. I am sure that she did not realize what a positive influence she had with folks, myself included.
God's richest blessing to all the family.

My grandmother was a woman who will be remembered as a great legendary icon because of her warm, generous, and loving character by me.

My grandmother was a great icon that I admired. She is definitely one woman I can use to model after. She was so warm and gentle and generous, with a natural propensity for giving. She always gave me some monetary gift for my birthdays even when I stopped expecting it mostly because I did not care if she did not when she probably thought I was looking for that gift every year for that day especially when she'd forget it.

I'll always remember Grammy's smile, her gentle voice, how happy she always was to hear or see us and how much fun she and Grampy were with us when we were kids. We'll miss her but we'll always have our memories of her. We should all live so long and so well with so much determination. That's what I will remember.

I sign this with great respect for my Grandmother who was a great icon in my mind of someone who is a gentle giant and one who by just being around when I was young I can remember her bringing a calm to me with her extreem patience.

My wife always says that she just exuded love and compassion. With that love she was given the blessing and satisfaction of long life.

Even though it is hard to lose a mother, I am just happy that she was able to live such a long, productive and blessed life and was taken from here peacefully. She is now in the hands of God for eternity. I was glad to be there with you all of last week, Mom, even though I had to return home before you left here. We'll be looking forward to a reunion in that great beyond.
Love, Doris
