Zachary Gennis Obituary

77, of Westwood, died Nov. 26th surrounded by close members of his family. Beloved husband of Marie (Alamanos) Gennis. Loving father of Katherine McInnis and her husband William of Westwood and James Gennis and his wife Stacey of Easton. Devoted grandfather of Annie and Katelin McInnis and Cassie and Lexi Gennis. Brother of Kay Kondis of Braintree and the late George Gennis of Arlington. He served in the US Marines in Korea and earned his degree from Boston Univ. before working with friends and family for the Condakes Company for most of his career. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) WESTWOOD on Friday, Nov. 30th from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday morning Dec. 1st at 9am followed by a Funeral Service in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Weston at 10:30am. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zachary's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USMC in Korea. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

The Dept. of Ma. Marine Corp League thanks you for your service to God, our Country, and to our beloved Corps.
To Zachary's family we send our deepest sympathies and our prayers on your loss and the loss of our Brother.
Zachary has now reported to our Supreme Commandant and will be on the streets of Heaven watching over you forever. Although Zachary's earthly presence is gone his spirit lives within your hearts thru the memories he left you. May God bless you and be with you thru this trying time.
