Joseph Cannon Obituary

76, died Thursday, Nov. 28th in Chatham at the liberty Commons Healthcare Facility. He was the husband of Judith (McKeever) Cannon. Joseph was born in Watertown, MA in 1931. He was raised in Watertown while attending B.C. High and graduating from Watertown high in 1949. He graduated from Boston College in 1953 with a masters in finance. Upon graduation he entered the Army & was honorably discharged in 1956. Joseph went to work for Northeast Airlines in Boston & New York as a Research Assistant by the time he retired himself form the Company he was Treasurer. He began a new job with Seaboard World Airline in New York as Treasurer. Joseph left the Airline Industry in 1983 and bought the Town Crier Motel with his wife Judith. Joseph was the father of 8 Children, 4 Daughters Cecily Santoro of E. Northport, NY., Patricia Fokas of Huntington, NY., Kathleen Cannon of Watertown, MA., Mary Anne Cannon of Huntington, NY., 4 Sons George H. Cannon of Rincon, GA, Joseph W. Cannon Jr. of Eastham, MA, John F. Cannon of Patchogue, NY, the late Michael J. Cannon. And Grandfather of 8, Andrew, Eileen, Michael, Joey, Maddy, Bri, Joanie & Sofia. Visitation will be Sunday Dec. 2nd 2-5pm in the Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Parkway Orleans, MA 02653. A funeral Mass will be held Mon., Dec. 3rd 11 AM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish at the Visitation Church, 930 Massasoit Rd. Eastham, MA 02642. In lieu of Flowers memorial donations may be made to the Michael J. Cannon Scholarship Fund 2 Cape Cod Five savings bank P.O. Box 1857 N. Eastham, MA. 02651
