Mr. Romaniuk,
Sir, I didn't know you but as a fellow Marine, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USMC during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. It was the history and accomplishments made by you and your fellow Marines during WW II that all of us Marines who followed in your footsteps have always tried to live up to. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

To Walter's family we send our deepest sympathies and our prayers on your loss and the loss of our Brother.
Walter was a member of the Greatest generation and we owe our Marine history to that generation of heroes. He has now reported to the Supreme Commandant and will watch over you always. May God bless you and be at your side thru this sad time.
