Timmy, Cara and Terry,
We are so sorry about your Dad. He is in a better place now, in peace with his loved ones. Uncle fred was a great man, he always kept in touch with everyone. He was good like that. He will be missed deeply. I am very sorry, I couldn't of been there for you all, but I was laid up in the Hospital for a week. It was so hard, not being there for you and the rest of the family at this very sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You will heal in time. I love you,Uncle Fred, you will be missed!!!

My mother and father had no dearer friends than Henry and Mary Smith, Fred's parents. My memories of the Smith family, some of whom I knew better than others (age and distance) is always of happiness and good will. Fred and I got to know each other even better at Commercial Wharf. We spent time talking about boats, politics and whatever else was the fodder of the day. Over the last few years he telephoned several times and we brought each other up to date on our lives and those of family and friends. I will miss him,
My thoughts are with you all.

Uncle Fred,
I too will miss those "check in" phone calls...always to compare our notes on current news. You were caring, concerned and enjoyed advising anyone that you felt needed guidance. I am at a loss as to who will be the authority in letting me know if I am making the right decisions. :>)
