Paul,
Thanks for taking me under your wing (and sometimes elbow)to the park to play baseball and for introducing me to "Neil". I'll never forget how you took the time to answer my crazy letters when you were in Vietnam and other parts of the world during your time in the Navy. We spent so many hours talking music and sports....memories I will always cherish. I miss you already. Enjoy that big rock concert in the sky, you were the best!
Love you,
Marybeth

My first assignment with the VA was to work on the college campuses in the mid 1970's. Paul was a part of the staff on the other end of the phone line helping to resolve questions and issues for veterans and their families.

I remember him as an individual who marched to the beat of his own drummer, probably Ginger Baker or John Bonham or some other well known "rock" drummer of the time. We had a lot of conversations about similarities of musical tastes and I really got to like Mr. Mawn.

May his soul rest in peace and may his family and friends keep him in their hearts and in their memories...
