I cannot believe Steve is gone. I've worked with him on various consulting projects over the last few years and he's been so full of life. He always asked first about how my family was doing, and he was always so proud of what his kids had accomplished. He was quite a character: intelligent, witty, thoughtful. It's just not right that he's gone.

Phyllis:

So sorry for your loss. I worked with Steve early in his career in New Hampshire and have fond memories of Steve's playful humor. He was a good mentor to me, for which I'll always be grateful. Sympathy from all of those in Harrisburg that worked with him.

Steven was a dear friend, with whom I always looked forward to spending a night out together and sharing our joys and frustrations with family, politics, culture and work.

I was so privileged to belong to his circle of close friends. I was a witness to his courage and determination to carry on and live his life as completely as he could until the end. I am shattered by his loss. His life was a blessing and a great inspiration for me.

I pray that Phyllis, Adam and Sara will find strength in how completely he loved them and in his devotion to them. I can't begin to tell you how much strength he got from each of you in return.

Love,

Peter Ben
