What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

Missing you and remembering your humor and love for your family and friends.

I just found out now about Chris's death. i am devastated. We were in so many classes together and it was a hard transition for me being the girl from Quincy in Braintree High. He used to draw me pictures of the Simpsons which my son is now obsessed with and ironic enough I told him the other day that there was a kid Chris in school that would draw me pictures. My DEEPEST prayers with the family. My heart is very heavy right now. God Bless you all. Rachel Walls- Gerard

Dear O'Gara family,
Please accept my heartfelt condolances for your loss. Chris was a breath of fresh air for my husband, Bill Burgess, and he often spoke of Chris as such a "great guy" with a "great sense of humor." Chris came to Bill's aid during the most challenging time of my husband's life, and my family and I will be forever grateful to Chris for that. You have wonderful memories of Chris in your beautiful children!

Sweet O'Gara clan, my heart goes out to you all. I can just see Chris laughing, playing with the children (he fit right in!!), offering to help me in any way he could.... always respectful and caring.... a great brother and friend.... I know he is at peace with Granny and Andy, watching over us, sad at our tears and joining in our laughter. I wish you peace and healing as the pain eases and the memories stay strong. God Bless.

December 16, 2007

For all those who have supported us during this terrible time, we thank you with all of our hearts. It is a great comfort to us all to see that we weren't the only ones whose lives were so touched by Chris. Chris was a gentleman, funny, artistic, compassionate, hardworking, honest, intelligent, inspiring, and of course had many many more wonderful qualities. It is no wonder why God called him home early. He was taken to where angels belong, to look over us and to teach us a valuble lesson. Love your loved ones everyday. Don't take your loved ones for granted. Appreciate every moment you have with those you love and don't waste a single moment.

Chris, we love you with all of our hearts, and will miss you everyday forever. We promise to keep your wonderful spirit alive.

Love Forever,

Learning about what has happened to Chris didn't that much at first. But when memories of he and I soon changed that. What hurts the most is that I of many people lost touch with him for about five years. I couldn't imagine my chilidhood without Chris, and frankly I couldn't imagine life without him. It's hard when an important person walks out unexpectidly. Chris was my hero. And he always will be.

Sean Richards

December 14, 2007

Knowing that Chris has passed has been tough on my family. Since he passed, I can't seem to get him off my mind. All those memories of Chris and my father will be cherished. Some of us less fortunate than others never got to say goodbye to Chris, and it will always haunt me. Seeing pictures of him brings back the all the great times of being around him. Even though I might have lost touch with him, hes never gone.

I just got the news through a mutual friend, words can't begin to express how saddened I am to hear about Chris's passing. He was my best friend for about 13 years, I have missed and will miss him terribly -- our thoughts and prayers go out to the O'Garas and everyone else who was touched by this wonderful human being.

December 14, 2007

I had the extreme pleasure of working with Chris at Suffolk University. By his example alone, Chris reminded me often how important it was to put people first. I would see his passion and intensity and be instantly reminded that it is always about people first.

Chris had an amazing way of making the most difficult situations seem hysterically funny. I always enjoyed a good Mucky story or the play by plays he would share of the crazy things that he would see in the course fo the day.

His work ethic was unmatched. If Chris was doing it, it was going to get done.

I'll miss him...his humor...his dependibility. We'll all miss him. The Temple Street neighbors will miss him. The faculty and staff will miss him. As someone prevously said, he was truly the face of Suffolk. Talented, hard working, intelligent and a man who stood by his friends and his beliefs.

My sincere condolences to the O'Gara family and to all of his friends and colleagues.

Dear O'Gara Family,
Words can not express the sorrow. I dated one of Chris's best friends (craig) for seven years and through it all Chris evolved into one of my very close friends. I was sorry to loose touch with Chris and would see him from time to time over the years. Just a few weeks ago I was asking Craig if perhaps he had heard from Chris or knew how he was doing. He will be missed. Missed dearly.
My sincerest condolences.

I met Chris while I was working at Suffolk. One day I heard him humming the theme song to Sealab 2021 and I started singing along and we've been friends ever since. Any down time either of us had over the years while working we hung out and talked about the Simpsons or whatever cartoon or movie we had recently watched. Even after I left Suffolk earlier this year we'd still talk almost daily, usually texting Simpson lines back and forth for hours. He was a great friend and someone I will never forget. I only wish I could have met his family before last night, as it seems like I've known them just by hearing Chris' stories. Long live Johnny Cleancheeks!!

Chris was one of a kind. Sadly our paths did not cross after graduating high school, but I was lucky to have known him. He had a razor sharp wit and a great sense of humor.
