Mary Jane, Susan, John, Lynne and Deborah,
I was sadden to hear about the death of your dear mother, Virginia. I was blessed to have known her over many years and I know that her "light" will shine bright in your hearts.
God Bless.

Virginia Lambeth contributed so much to life; to everyone around her. Her warmth, and charm, and giving nature were exceeded only by her unusual intelligence and innate good sense. She was a woman of culture and panache who never lost the common touch. It was a privilege to call her a friend.

To John, Susan, Mary Jane, Lynne, and Deborah,

My thoughts are with you and your family and your mother's many friends. I remember fondly your mother and the many occasions she welcomed me in her house a long time ago during John's and my years at Davidson College, and how she rescued me on at least one occasion by helping with a shortage of funds during a spring break trip to Florida. She was always the soul of kindness and good humor, and it was a true pleasure to be in her company. I am very grateful that I knew her.

My sympathy to all,
Jim

To Virginia's family, I met Virginia at water aerobics at the Y - she was great inspiration, encouraging me to just get in, the water would warm up eventually!
She is missed by all of us on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
