Claire Fawcett Obituary

Claire P. (Tee) Fawcett passed away on March 12, 2011 in Bradenton, Fl. Born August 11, 1919 to Paul A. Turner (Tourigny) and Irene E. Cloutier Turner (Tourigny) in Leominster, MA. She graduated from Leominster High in 1938, graduated in 1941 from Leominster Nursing Hospital College and worked at Boston City Hospital. Claire was in the Army Nursing Corps from 1942 to 1945 where she met and married A. R. (Jim) Fawcett. They moved to Western Kansas where she worked for St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City (where she got her nick name ("Tee"), before becoming the Kearny County Health Nurse. She was the County Health Nurse for 30 years. They retired to Bradenton, FL. Tee was preceded in death by her husband, A. R. (Jim) Fawcett in 1998 and two brothers. She is survived by two sons, James P. of Junction City, KS and Michael G. of Palmetto, FL; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorial service will be on May 21, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at Ss Peter and Paul, The Apostles Church, in Bradenton, FL.
