Catherine Robertson Obituary

ROBERTSON-Catherine M. (Coleman) March 29, 2008, wife of the late Charles W. Robertson; mother of John "Jack" (Catherine) Robertson, Gene R. (Vanessa) Robertson, Susan (Steven) Drosendahl; grandmother of Chris Robertson and Kelly Drosendahl. Catherine was born in Cumberland, MD in 1926. She graduated from Beall High School in Frostburg, MD in 1943 and completed her nurses training at Allegany Hospital. Married to Charles for 40 years, she was the loving mother of three children. Catherine worked for Dr. Irving Yellen as a nurse for more than 30 years. She loved being a senior companion for developmentally disabled adults for over 10 years following her retirement. Catherine had a love of reading and frequently visited the Orchard Park Senior Center. She lived with her family in Hamburg for many years before moving to West Seneca. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Rd., Orchard Park, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church in Athol Springs at 9:30 AM. (Please assemble at church). Online register at www.CANNANFH.com

Your mother was a true friend to Judy Rockwood, who resides at Claddagh Commission Inc. Judy spoke very highly and talked very often about her. She will be greatly missed by her.
