Dominic L. Frontera Sr.

FRONTERA - Dominic L. Sr. Age 84, of Williamsville, NY, died Monday, June 2, 2008 after a battle with cancer. Born in Clarendon, PA, July 31, 1923 to the late John and Maria Frontera. He lived his youth in Warren, PA and settled in the Buffalo area after WWII. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Saraceno Frontera of Williamsville, whom he married June 14, 1947. Father of JoAnn DeMarco of Williamsville, NY and Dominic L. Frontera Jr. (STG1 Ret. USN) of Clarence, NY; grandfather of Dominic L. Frontera III (ET2 (SW) USN) of Olean, NY, Anthony, Matthew and Joey DeMarco of Williamsville, NY and Andrew Frontera; brother of Peter Frontera of Sebastian, FL, Joseph Frontera of Warren, PA and Marian Fago of West Palm Beach, FL and the late Frank and Eddie Frontera; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the PERNA-PELLEGRINO FUNERAL HOME, 1671 Maple Rd., Williamsville, Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Gregory the Great Church, Maple Rd., Williamsville, Thursday at 9 AM. (Please assemble at Church.) Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Buffalo. Dominic was a Disabled Veteran of WWII where during the Battle of the Bulge, serving as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne B507th Parachute Infantry, he was awarded a Purple Heart for his actions. He was also an Operating Engineer, (local 17B) working with the 977 High Lift for 40 years in the WNY area.
