Valerie Hardy Obituary

HARDY - Valerie M. (nee Steves) Age 81, of the Town of Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, Friday, June 6, 2008, at her residence, while under the care of Hospice, beloved wife of the late William C. Fritz who died in 1953 and the late Edwin C. Hardy who died in 1985; mother of William C. Hardy, Mark R. (Dianne) Hardy and Melissa R. Vogel; grandmother of Jeffrey and Brian Hardy, and Mark and Jessica Vogel; sister of the late Phyllis Fifi Bedell; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will be present on Monday from 4-8 PM ONLY at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda, where a Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 10 at 9:30 AM. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation, 225 Como Park Blvd., Buffalo, NY 14240.

It sad to read that such a vibrant, loving and thoughtful person is now gone. I recall all the fun we had together at holidays and "the lake", her kindness towards my mother, and her never-ending generosity. Please accept my condolences. You all have been in my thoughts from time to time over the years. I have so many fond memories of Val and our times together.
