I had a dream last night that woke me up out of my sleep and made me smile, a strange calm came over me as if someone had given me a warm hug. I dreamt that you were sitting in your chair, Blacky was there, your mom was there, and a bunch of other people I have never met but knew they were family because they all looked like you. You were all talking and laughing, you could hear everything people were saying to you and enjoying coffee and pie. you looked happy. I ran up to talk to you and you stood up and yelled "Cindy!!" with a big smile on your face, you said to me, "hi, hi, hi" and told me you felt great. You said not to worry everything will work out in the end. I woke up abruptly and couldn't go back to that dream when I finally fell back asleep. Some times dreams seem so real,I believe you are doing well, enjoying your family reunion. This was the first happy dream I've had since you left us. Thank you for coming and assuring me that things will be okay. We miss you very much and I still have a hard time talking about you without tearing up. It's been a very hard year. Probably the hardest we've ever had. Grandma is doing okay, as I'm sure you know. I don't think you could have left if you didn't believe she was going to be all right. We miss you, save some pie for the rest of us when we finally get to join that reunion. I'll see you in my dreams.

You know I never had a father figure in my life I wanted to say thank you for being so loving and understanding and taking me in to your heart and home and life,in a way i always thought of you as a dad. For those that know us, the loss of Grandpa Joe has been almost more than we could handle. He's been a part of our lives since we were all young. Too our children, they are all so lucky to have had a chance to know him and love him some of them have grown into young adults and will have memories of him forever. To his children, some of you will never understand just how wonderful a man he truely was. I miss him everyday, I look into his family's faces and see him in everyone. His passing hurts as much today as it did on that day. We miss you, we love you, you will NEVER be forgotten. I love you Joe.
