Our deepest sympathy goes to the Ogorek family. She was a wonderful neighbor to us for seven years, and a kind and generous human being. She will not be forgotten and will be in our thoughts and prayers.

"This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for
complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness."
- Dalai Lama
Certainly I have no greater example of the philosophy of kindness than that which Annie bestowed within self and action. I am blessed to have known her and I aspire to be a quarter as lovely and correct as sweet, sweet Annie was. I will miss her greatly.
My heartfelt condolences,

For the Scibetta and Ogorek Family,
My sincerest sympathy and prayers go out to your families. Ann will truly be missed at Daemen College. Her warmth, love and compassion for others was a true example for all. I enjoyed talking with her about Italian traditions she held dear, as my mom has shared many of them with me and my children. Ann was a true gift from heaven and I'll remember her as our "Daemen angel" who we were privileged to share life with for a while. She now leaves us with the fond memories...

Anna Ogorek was one of the most positive, upbeat people I ever met. She had nothing but kind words to speak about everyone. She knew how to make the most out of her life and was so appreciative of everyone.

My grandmother was Aunt Anna’s sister. They were incredibly supportive and kind to each other. We should all have such support in our lives. Their immense love for one another was clear; they were always in touch and shared everything – including fits of giggles. It has been a comfort thinking of the dear ladies together now.
We used to say, “You know how Aunt Anna is. . .” because it was such a marvel to all of us that she always had something positive and uplifting to say. She was the most positive, brightest person I’ve known. She instilled a her sense of humor and warmth in her children, who are also wonderful people.
When I lived in New York, Aunt Anna would ask how “good old New York” was. She always had an interesting tidbit on a book she had just read. She was current, well-traveled, full of life and simply beautiful. It is tremendously sad for all of us that she is gone. We will miss her dearly.

I met Anne 6 years ago as a Eucharistic Minister, I would give her holy communion at the 5 p.m. mass at St. Benedict's and also went to a diabetic cooking class with her at Tops Internation on maple road, Anne had a heart of gold, and will sadly be missed. God bless you Anne, and may God keep you under his wings. Love Frank McGinley and Paul Provino

Mother Teresa said, "We can do no great things, only small things with great love." Annie embodied this more than anyone I know. She was one of the kindest, most humble, and open-hearted people I have ever met. I had the opportunity to see the Dalai Lama with Annie and sit next to her during the talk. She went up to the Tibetan Buddhists afterwards and shook their hands and smiled at them with delight. She treated everyone with this loving openness. Just seeing her would immediately brighten my mood and make me feel grateful. My thoughts are with her family and members of the Daemen community, especially those who worked with her every day in the business office. I will always be grateful for having had such a wonderful spirit in my life.

I first met Ann in the mid-1980s at Daemen College and I have loved and admired her ever since. A trip back to Buffalo is never complete without a visit to Ann! Her joy and love have always lifted my spirits...I will always smile when I think of her confessing to "stealing" a particularly beautiful flower which caught her attention on her walk to work!

I will miss talking to Anne. She was always an outgoing and friendly presence at Daemen and I looked forward to chatting with her. Her active lifestyle (especially her love of walking) was an inspiration to many of us.

Annie was the most wonderful person I've ever met. I started working at Daemen College with her last August. She was the most accepting person I know. After just being there for 1 week she told me she was so glad I was working there. She always said nice things about every one. I never heard her say anything negative. She always brought a smile to my face!!! She was such a happy and positive person - she loved life and loved people - especially her family. She was always happy to visit them or be visited by them. My children met her and thought she was great. They got a kick out of how she loved to keep her money in such good condition!!! She will truly be missed!!! I can't picture our office without her!
