To the Bessel Family:
We have known Don for over 30 years, and he was the sweetest, most kindly man we were honored to know.
He did remodeling at our home and two of our stores.
He had a very quiet way of telling how much he hated a pink paint choice and always had I big smile when we relentlessly teased him to quit smoking.
We were all truly blessed and honored to have known such a fine person. We will miss him terribly, and we will think of him often
Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bessel family.

Diane,
The Bible teaches that to be absent from the body is to be with the Lord. So for those of us that remain, for now and in the days ahead, I pray God will comfort you and give you peace.
Your Friend,
Stephanie Barber

Dear Rose, Carol, Amy, David, and Dee,
Sorry for your loss. Donny was a very nice and helpful person. I still remember how helpful he was to my family when he helped my dad work on the downstairs bathroom.
Thinking of you and may your love of your father bring you fond memories.
Take care,

Uncle Don Bessel, What a guy.He has been a part of our lives since first we met. Don didn't ask much of life; a good spaghetti dinner and, of course, roast beef.
He wasn't very effusive with his emotion, but you could readily tell when he was real pleased.
He smiled so broadly from ear to ear. I can remember two occsions; one when he showed us his latest creation in wood. (Our home is filled with his works, as are many of his relatives' homes.)
The other time was when he announced that Carol had obtained her permanent tenure with the National Science Foundation.
He was justly proud of his four offspring, all four of whom went through college, and two girls having PhDs.
His passing will leave an awesome void in many lives for a long, long, time.
With prayer and solace,
Sadly, Requiescat in Pace.
