Dylis Garraway Obituary

GARRAWAY - Dylis Entered into rest June 30, 2008 in Rochester, NY at the age of 99, loving husband of the late Marion (nee Sidney); father of Yvonne Nellis, Clarice Lewis, Arthur Trellis and the late Iris Payne; grandfather of Wendy Fable, Lavern Morrison, Sharon Morrison-Charles, Wilma Morrison, Karen Morrison, Philip Payne, Jr., James Payne, Dorothy Payne, Pansy Wailoo, Patricia Payne, David Payne, Michael Lewis, Lisa Lewis-Simmons, David Lewis, June Harding, Juliet Peiters, Dezelle Trellis, Lavonne Trellis, James Trellis, Keith Trellis and Marsha Richardson; also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mr. Garraway was born in Guyana, South America and was a ship builder and carpenter by trade. He enjoyed traveling, sports and story telling, but his greatest joy was being with family and friends and reminiscing about life and times long passed. Relatives and friends may visit THOMAS T. EDWARDS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 995 Genesee St., Sunday from 12 Noon until 5 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday 11 AM at Emmanuel Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church, 300 Adams St. Rev. Kenneth Green, officiating. Interment St. Matthews Cemetery, West Seneca, NY.
