Grandpa,
Thank you. Thank you for everything you have done and everything you will continue to do. The person I am today and the person I will be tomorrow are largely in part due to the great man that you are. Your kindness and willingness to help others shows me how to be a better person. Your warm smile and calm demeanor reminds me that life is what you make of it. You stayed by my side during the toughest parts of my life and your strength showed me how to carry on. Its hard to express in words just how much you have taught me. I truly can not imagine a better teacher or a better role model. Grandpa, thank you. Thank you for being you and for showing me how to be me.
Love always,
Heidi

Dad was the best for a family our size. We will miss him very much. He left quietly and is with the Lord and Mom. Praise the name of the Lord.

I have such wonderful, happy memories of 'Uncle' John and your family from as far back as I can remember. He was always funny and sweet to me. My deepest sympathy to all of your family. I know the hurt of that kind of loss. My prayers are that your happy memories help carry you through these rough times and forward...share them with one another, laugh...he loved to laugh.

In memory of a loving and vibrant Grandfather. I will always remember how full of life he was. Always joking about his age (transposing the digits in his age to make himself younger) or kidding about chasing the "39 year olds...". We will miss you Grandpa.

In memory of a loving and vibrant Grandfather. He was always full of life, I will remember that. Always joking about his age (inverting the digits to make his age younger), and about chasing the "39 year olds..." or "29 year olds...". You will be missed.

I know that no matter what
You will always be with me.
When life separates us
I'll know it is only your soul
Saying goodbye to your body
But your spirit will be with me always.
When I see a bird chirping on a nearby branch
I will know it is you singing to me.
When a butterfly brushes gently by me so care freely
I will know it is you assuring me you are free from pain.
When the gentle fragrance of a flower catches my attention
I will know it is you reminding me
To appreciate the simple things in life.
When the sun shining through my window awakens me
I will feel the warmth of your love.
When I hear the rain pitter patter against my window sill
I will hear your words of wisdom
And will remember what you taught me so well'
That without rain trees cannot grow
Without rain flowers cannot bloom
Without life's challenges I cannot grow strong.
When I look out to the sea
I will think of your endless love for your family.
When I think of mountains, their majesty and magnificence
I will think of your courage for your country.
No matter where I am
Your spirit will be beside me
For I know that no matter what
You will always be with me.
I Love you and Miss you DAD!!!
