Ann Spencer Gates

gates - Ann Spencer Died at home in Cambridge, MA, July 6, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late H. Hamilton gates. She leaves her mother, Mrs. H. Hamilton gates of Buffalo, brother Peter of Boston, David (Anne) and niece Christina) of Buffalo, P. Bradford of Ithaca and many cousins. Ann, born in Buffalo, attended the Elmwood Franklin School, Emma Willard and she graduated from Boston College. Until recently Ann was an office manager at the Harvard University Extension School. Earlier in her career she had a very popular radio show, Mystery Girls, on the MIT Radio Station. She also was a publicist for Matador Records as well as Atlantic Records. Ann was well loved by many friends in the Boston and Buffalo area. Flowers declined. Donations can be made to Partners Hospice, 281 Winter St., Waltham, MA 02451. A service is planned for Wednesday in Boston.
