To the Higgins family,
I didn't know "Uncle" Kevin long but I sure fell in love with him. We had some wonderful meals together and a fantastic outing to Lake Tahoe with the Bill and Deb. My Mom was there too. Kevin was such a gentleman pushing her wheelchair down the Truckee River bike path, pulling her chair out for her, and joining her in Manhattans. My Mom loved the attention, she grinned so big you could see all her teeth! Thank you Kevin for sharing your beautiful soul with me and my Mom.

To the Higgins family,
I am sorry for the loss of your brother and our "Uncle Kev". We are so proud of Bill Higgins. Bill provided Kevin with physical care and support, with big hearted emotional support and Lord knows, he provided opportunities for Kevin to enjoy life right up until the end. They had a lot of fun together at the track, at Bill and Debra's home, at Lake Tahoe, out for their walks, etc.
The Higgins are a rare breed and it's so sad to say goodbye. I feel lucky to have had Kevin as an Uncle.
Farewell Uncle Kev!

Uncle Kevin.
A unique excitement surrounded every Christmas that you came to Buffalo. Thank you. I will always carry fond memories of Augusts at the track with you, my mom and the Albany Higgins clan. Thank you. Finally, even when you were miles away, you were an inspiration. You showed me that it was okay to strike out and forge your own path in life. I am forever grateful. You will always be a part of me and many others, Uncle Kevin.

To All of the Higgins's and extended Higgins's,
I am sorry that we lost Uncle Kevin. I will always remember how excited everyone would get when he was flying in for the holidays, etc. I will miss him and remember him fondly.
To Bill-thank you for setting such a fine example. You really did go above and beyond with all that you did for Uncle Kevin. I hope that there is a Bill Higgins out there for all of us! Walk with your head high-you are a very special person.
