ALBANO - Philip Wm. July 12, 2008, age 94, formally of Snyder, NY; dear husband of Mildred L. (Trawick); loving father of Toni Albano (Barney Brown), J. Michael Albano (MaryEllen) and Tina Albano Stone (Mark Stone); cherished Granddad of Alexandria and Cassandra; dear brother of Sally Vullo (late Sam), Josephine Enserro (late Angelo) and deceased Bessie Paterniti (late Mata), Joseph, Jr. (late Connie) and Mary Ann Green (Lowell); also survived by nieces and nephews; predeceased by his parents Joseph and Sarah (nee Caprino) Albano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Charleston, SC on July 16th at 9 am at St. John the Beloved with entombment following at Dorchester Memory Gardens in Summerville. A Memorial celebration honoring Phil in Buffalo will be announced at a later date. He was high school captain of three sports, collegiate All-America football player at Niagara University, a Major in the U.S. Air Force/Veteran of WWII, and enjoyed a lifetime career in upper management in the liquor industry, also was an avid tennis player. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Assoc., 409 King St., Ste 300, Charleston, SC 29403. A memorial message may be written to the family through www.jamesadyal.com

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Phil. I remember as if it were yesterday talking to Phil while he was watching matches at the Village Glen (especially Mike). He always had a smile and good thoughts. A celebration for a wonderful life. May peace be with you during this difficult time.
