Unexpectedly July 10, 2008, in Oakville, Ont., formerly of East Amherst, NY, beloved husband of Mary Beth Smith and the late Kathryn Duffy Smith; dear father of Donald (Denise) III of Philadelphia, Allison (Daniel) Lynn of Nashua, NH, Dr. Erica Smith of New London, CT, step father of Lorraine Anderson, Karen (Robert) Chamberlin, and Susan Deacon; grandfather of Ryan, Kathryn and Aidan Lynn, Luke and Addison Smith, Nicholas, Nathan, Kara Anderson and Andrew Chamberlin; brother of James Smith, Lizbeth (Kenneth) Bartlett, Joseph (Pamela) Hufnagel and the late Sue Ann Ryan; also survived by nieces and nephews.
