Dear Cousins,
Aunt Valida always made me smile and laugh. She surely was an outgoing, vibrant woman and a wonderful aunt. I wish she lived closer but will always cherish the time I did get to spend with her in Pennsylvania.

Dear Sandra, Jimmy & Oshirak Family,
I worked with Valida at School 45 and she was a true friend. We would go for coffee on our lunch break. When I was telling her that we needed someone to look after my elderly mother she suggested I call you Sandra. It was godsend suggestion. Sandra took wonderful care of my mom for 2 years until she went into a nursing home. You and your family have our deepest sympathy.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

dear children
My memory of your dear mother was at school 45. she worked so diligently and was loved and respected by all. She was a role model in that she had a problem with her fingers and yet worked without a complaint.
A GREAT LADY! May she rest in peace.

Oshirak Family, Lee lived a long, full life, and was quite a character. Mom and her used to go on walks around the neighborhood for several years. I remember when your family moved in upstairs from our grandparents at 211 Potomac, many, many years ago.We will all miss her unique personality. You are all in our prayers.
