I was very sorry to hear about Bob. I worked with him for many years at AAA. He was funny and very sweet. He also was so tolerant to work in an office with mainly women and never complained. He was very easy to talk to and so knowledgable about the Travel Industry. I lost touch with Bob when he retired from AAA, but thought of him often.
My deepest sympathies go out to Bob's sons and their families. I know that he loved you dearly and I hope that brings you some peace.

I also worked with Bob and we carpooled many times. Bob refinished furniture for me and was able to use an old buffet for either Steve or Jeff in college. We talked many times during our car rides of the our kids high school days and graduation, college, marriage and grand children. Our kids were very close in age but at different schools.
On a very hot day in June I was walking home from the Triple A and cut through the apartments where he lived to see if I could catch him sitting outside. Thankfully he was there and we spent a long time talking before I continued on home. Bob was so kind and we were able to share stories easily and laugh easily. Tonight when I passed his house I looked to see if he was outside so we could have a glass of wine together. When 1 hour later a friend from work told me of his death. I'm very sorry to loose such a kind man, but I will raise a glass of wine tonight in memory of Bob. He will be missed.
Here is to you Bob, you have walked through a door where we cannot follow.
