Oh Valerie, there are not enough words to describe the wonderful person you were that beamed the light of joy. You saw life through the lens of kindness and graciousness, if only others had your vision. Your love of your son and husband was undoubtfully apparent, as you adored them so. You loved so deeply and help the ones you cared about in such a beautiful way. How lucky and honored we are to have had you in our lives. We cherish the evenings at your beautiful, warm home. Never a dull conversation was had. Rest in Peace Val, you're an inspiration to mankind.~~~~~Much love, your neighbors & friends, Tim & Debbie Knight

My heartfelt condolences to the Menza family on the loss of their beloved wife and mother. I got to know her through my friendship with Dennis Jr. and was honored to be able to refer to her as "Mom". She was one of the kindest, nicest, and most thoughtful people I have ever met. I am truly saddened by her loss.

Dear Dennis and Jr.,
We are so very sorry for your loss. We feel that we are both better people for knowing Val. Val evoked the true meaning of living and loving life, loving her family, and making parenthood a priority. We both greatly respect Val and your entire family. Val had a rare way of making you feel like family and that was truly a gift. We will miss our neighborly chats and Val making us laugh for hours. If there is anything we can do for you, please feel free to ask.
Sincerely,
Tim and Debbie Knight and our children

I got to know Valerie when she worked at Holmes Elementary. She worked in my classroom. We shared many laughs and we had many discussions about our families. It was clear how much she cherished hers. She will be greatly missed by all!

I am Valerie's cousin Patti Conley Bush in Delafield, WI. My mom aka Auntie Doug, was a lifeline to the Conley clan once all the Uncles and Auntie Evelyn were gone. She often ran into Val in the stores on Delaware Ave. I am sorry for your loss and I am sorry we lost contact with your family once my mom died. Our prayers are with you, your son and your family and also with all the Conley cousins that grew up with Valerie in Riverside and Kenmore. We all have wonderful family memories.
