William Connelly Obituary

CONNELLY - William Timothy Jr. Loved father, grandfather, and brother, 64, formerly of Buffalo, died Thursday (August 7, 2008) at the Wellsville Manor surrounded by family, after suffering a stroke. He was born January 1, 1944 to the late Margaret and William Connelly Sr. of Elmira. He was a graduate of Southside High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Buffalo State College. He was an agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in Bath, Corning and Hornell before moving to Buffalo. In 1975, he was awarded Salesman of the Year by Metropolitan Insurance Co. for the Corning District. Tim is survived by 3 children Renea (James) Clifford of Hornell, Jennifer L. Michels of North Caolina, and William T. Connelly III of North Carolina. 9 grandchildren James, Benjamin, Amelia, and Claire Clifford of Hornell, Eric, Bailey, Morgan, and Olivia Michels of North Carolina, Dominic Connelly of North Carolina, his sisters Margaret Krazinski, Kathleen (Bill) Ingraham, Sarah Connelly all of Elmira, and Marie (David) Swanson of Canton, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother in law Leo Krazinski and his nephew Jason Swanson. To send a remembrance visit www.brownandpowersfuneralhomes.com. Calling hours will be Monday (August 11, 2008) from 2-4 PM at the BENDER-BROWN & POWERS FUNERAL HOME 354 Canisteo St., Hornell, where funeral services will be held at 4 PM. Burial will be Tuesday at the St. Peter & Pauls Cemetery in Elmira. Since Tim was an avid reader and loved to visit his local library the family asks in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a library of your choice.
