My thoughts and prayers to the whole family. I learend of Karen's passing from a few of the girls at our church (Forest View Church of God) that worked with her at Circle C this summer. May the Lord shine upon you and may He grant you the peace that surpasses all human understanding. Be still and know that HE is GOD.

Remember her life
Dont dwell on her death
her body lays at rest
But her soul lives in heaven
leaving us here bereft
look up to her and smile
good lord took back his child
Her work here done
its time she spread her
wings awhile
Remember her laugh
Remember her spirit
Remember her mad
Remember she's a gift
that you have
Not one you had
She lives here still in those
that loved her
and she would never
want you sad
Cherish the love you shared
Celebrate her light
Remember her life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sincerly. Melvin, Christina, Jaylah, and Jorryn Jones

I have been thinking about Karen all week and the incredible person that she was.

I first met Karen in the spring of 2004 at Buffalo State College. We were in the Design program together and became very good friends. I saw her almost everyday when classes were in session and I can tell you she was never without a smile on her face. I always admired her great love for her family and for the Lord...neither of which she ever hid her feelings.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Karen's family, fiance, and friends. I love you and will miss you so much, Karen...but we will see each other again one day.

I had the pleasure of working with Karen at Key Bank. I learned more about her, her parents, and Chris (always with a smile on her face) in the 8 months, as colleagues than I know of friends and neighbors in my lifetime. We laughed and cried all on Company time. What fun we had! My Daughter Andrea also had the opportunity to meet Karen at Circle C Ranch. Thanks to Karen, I had peace of mind as a first time parent sending a first time daughter to camp knowing Karen was there for Andrea if she needed a shoulder of support in my absence. This was precious to me. The wealth of knowledge, love and passion Karen had for God was immeasurable. When I think of Karen, I see her next to the scripture Matt 22:37 and Galatians 5:22. I know we are supposed to celebrate her passing as difficult as is. The only comfort I have now is knowing she is walking with Jesus and gets to see the face of God! HOW COOL AND AWESOME IS THAT!! My song of thought to Karen is by Sanctus Real "The Face Of Love"

I met Karen this summer on staff at Circle C. She asked me to share my testimony with her. I knew right away her passion for the Lord because of her eagerness to know how the Lord guided my life. Karen spent every opportunity to grow closer and closer to the image of Christ. Even at the end of the day when she could go to bed, she came into my cabin to invest in the campers. I was looking forward to a friendship with her. She was inviting in her conversations, and I always felt a comfort to open up to her. I used to love when she would talk about her family because her face would light up and there was usually a deep belly laughter with the stories. My heart hurts for her family and for Chris. I am praying for you.

To the Orman family and Chris,
We serve an awsome God. He has blessed us so much by allowing Karen to be a part of our lives over the past few years. Whether it was at Circle C or just with the girls (Beth, Deb or Tina) showing up here at our house, Karen always called us Mom and Dad. I looked up the word "sweet" in the dictionary and there was Karen's picture. She was the verey essence of "sweetness" in her personality, her willingness to help and put others before herself, and in her smile. A smile we will never forget. She just got to Heaven a little before the rest of us. Thank God, we will be able to see that smile through all eternity. She was a dear woman of God and a friend that will be greatly missed. Our prayers go out to all of you, as we know you will miss her too. Oh, how she loved all of you!!

The Chaplains of the New York National Guard extend our sympathy to Karen's family and friends. We especially grieve for Chris. Yet as believers we grieve not as those without hope. Karen has now entered the presence of her Savior. May the grace and comfort of God sustain you. The Word of God tells us, “So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 5:6-8)

Karen will be greatly missed by me and all of her co-workers at Key bank. Karen and I started at Key the same time and went thru 3 months of training together. We got to know each other pretty well. She was one of the nicest, sweetest people I knew and kept me calm when I got stressed. I will miss her very much and I send my deepest sympathy to her family and loved ones.

I had the honor of working closely with Karen at Keybank. I encouraged her to get away for the summer as that is where her heart was. Karen had one of the dearest souls and she reminded me daily of my mother, with her faith in God. We have to believe that everything happens for a reason and that this was God's plan for her. I will miss her dearly.

Chris,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this difficult time. The sorrow of the faithful is not that of permanent loss, but the tender sense of sadness that comes in saying good-bye for now to someone we love.
May today's sorrow give way
to the peace and comfort of God's love.

My heart and prayers go out to the Lord on behalf of your family. Karen will be missed but often thought of. Karen has touched so many with the love and grace of her God. Karen's faith in Christ has inspired many to go deeper in their relationship with the Lord.

As one of my best friends, my roommate, and bridesmaid in my recent wedding, Karen meant the world to me. I greatly looked up to her and I know she will always be highly honored in the thoughts of so many people that she touched. She was an amazing woman of God and a much loved friend, daughter, sister, and fiance. Chris, there are no words I can think of to comfort you, but may the peace of God that passes all understanding guard your heart and mind in this time. You will always have a friend in me. Please call anytime night or day. Pat and I are praying for you.

Our Sincere Sympathy to the Ortman Family from the Entire Terian Family. We Loved Karen from the moment that we met her, and the Family shortly after. Our Grief extends in many directions, mostly it is focused on Karen and Christopher, both Loved Our Lord and Savior and they both Showed that Virtue in their Daily Walk. Chris Loved Karen and Karen Loved Chris to the extent that they both put each other more highly than self, we all knew they both believed the Bible is accurate from cover to cover. A recent e-mail by Chris from Afghanistan stated "why not me" basically, since he is in harms way, why her? Again Russ and Mary Jane we Love You and Grieve Greatly with you and your Family. May our Father in Heaven provide His Abundant Grace to Our Families and all that Loved Your daughter, and Christopher's future Wife. Maranatha Friends, Love Marge, Christopher, Terry and the Terian Family.
